Cesia N. Melendez-Hernández
Fourth Grade Teacher
Originally from Puerto Rico, Cesia N. Melendez-Hernández is a passionate educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, a certification in Theater, a certification in Montessori Education, and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. With over seven years of experience in education, she began her teaching journey in Montessori classrooms, working with students in first through third grade. After moving to the United States, she continued her educational journey as a preschool teacher for over five years. She currently serves as a fourth-grade teacher at Millennium Christian Academy.
Cesia believes that teaching is a beautiful, reciprocal journey. While teachers guide, encourage, and facilitate learning, children continually inspire adults to grow, see the world differently, and rediscover the joy of learning. Her goal is to create a nurturing and engaging classroom where students feel loved, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Beyond the classroom, Cesia loves traveling, exploring new cultures, discovering traditional foods, and expressing creativity through the arts. She believes art is more than a form of expression; it can also be a powerful vessel through which God touches hearts, ministers to lives, and draws people closer to His presence.
Above all, Cesia is passionate about God’s Word and His presence. Her faith is at the heart of who she is and influences the way she teaches, serves, and connects with others. She strives to inspire her students not only to grow academically but also to develop kindness, confidence, creativity, and a heart for God.
Her favorite part of teaching? Knowing that while she is helping shape young minds, her students are also teaching her something new every day!
