Mrs. Guzman

My name is Maritza Guzman. I am 54 years old and proudly Puerto Rican. I have lived in the United State for 25 years and have been a resident of Haines City for the past 12 years. I am the mother of three wonderful children and the proud of grandmother of four grandchildren.

I graduated in Puerto Rico with studies in Secretarial Studies, Accounting, and Medical Records. Throughout my professional career, I worked for 11 years as a Housekeeping Supervisor. I also worked for three years in Polk County School, and I now have the provilege of being a teacher at Millenium Christian Academy. This wonderful experience has strengthened my passion for teaching and my commitment to the academic, personal, and spiritual growth of my students.

I am a second-grade teacher, and I enjoy creating a learning enviroment where every student feels loved, respected, valued, and motivated to reach their full potential. I firmly believe that every child can succeed when they receive support, patience, encouragement, and love both at school and at home.

My goal is for my classroom to be safe, positive, and welcoming place filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop important values such as respect, responsibility, kindness, and teamwork.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, serving God, and continuing to grow professional so I can provide my students with the best education possible. Above all, I am deeply grateful to God and feel truly blessed for the wonderful opportunity to be a teacher and for the trust that each family places in me.

God bless you
